This intensive 2 day IKO hour course will take you through the basics of kitesurfing through to getting you up and going on the board. This course is an an absolute must for anyone who wants to get themselves ready to enter the exciting world of kitesurfing in the shortest time possible. This 2 days course is aimed at getting the student ready for IKO level 3 certified - the worldwide recognised kitesurfer "driving license".
We supply state of the art equipment on all courses, including wetsuit, bouyancy aid, helmet and of course kite and board. Each course has a student instructor ratio of 4:1, with all our instructors being full IKO level II certified.
the course covers the following Topics:
- Carry and set up the lines and kite
- Determine the wind direction and upwind and downwind (windward, leeward).
- Fly a small kite (inflatable, stunt kite, foil…) on the wind window edge and maintain it close to the ground.
- Know how to stop the kite power in case of problem by releasing the bar
- launching and landing the kite
- self-rescue techniques
- and of course - getting up on the board to kitesurf!
Please note, that all of our courses are subject to appropriate weather conditions. Too little or too much wind means we cannot run the course.
We will send a confirmation text the day before the first day of the course. Where we cancel a course due to weather, we will re-arrange suitable dates or issue a voucher which can be redeemed any time within 12 months.

N.B : A deposit of £50 is payable at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is payable on the first day of the course.
